The export value of Sumatra Selatan in July 2021 reached US$438.33
million, an increase of 9.25 percent compared to June 2021. Likewise,
when compared to July 2020, it increased by 39.36 percent.

Non-oil and gas exports in July 2021 reached US$433.59 million, an
increase of 10.78 percent compared to June 2021, and when compared to
July 2020, it also rose 59.66 percent. Oil and gas exports in July 2021
reached US$4.75 million, down 51.65 percent compared to June 2021, and
when compared to July 2020, it fell 79.69 percent.

China, the United States and Malaysia became the main export
destinations for South Sumatra in the period January - July 2021, each
reaching US$682.96 million; US$274.34 million and US$191.36 million,
with the role of the three reaching 52.57 percent of total exports for
the January - July 2021 period.

The import value of Sumatra Selatan in July 2021 was US$30.49 million
or decreased by 63.59 percent compared to June 2021, when compared to
imports in July 2020, it also decreased by 51.21 percent.

Non-oil and gas imports in July 2021 reached US$30.29 million, down
62.48 percent compared to June 2021, as well as non-oil and gas imports
in July 2020, down 49.32 percent. Meanwhile, oil and gas imports in July
2021 reached US$201.60 thousand, down 93.32 percent compared to June
2021, and also decreased by 92.59 percent compared to July 2020.

The three main import origin countries are China with an import value
of US$347.14 million, followed by Malaysia with an import value of
US$20.95 million and Vietnam with an import value of US$16.92 million,
with the contribution of the three reaching 75.32 percent of the total
imports period January - July 2021.
