Abstract

1. Farmer's Peak Exchange Rate (NTP) * South Sumatra in October 2016 was 94.82 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in October 2016 still decreased compared to the base year of 2012. However, compared to the previous month, NTP October 2016 experienced an increase of 0.75 percent due to an increase in the price index received by farmers and a decrease in the price index paid by farmers.

2. The exchange rate of agricultural business (NTUP) of South Sumatra in October 2016 was 102.53 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in October 2016 was better than the base year of 2012. And when compared to the previous month, NTUP October 2016 fell by 0.06 percent.
