Abstract

• The economy of Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency based on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in 2023 reached IDR 8.72 trillion and at constant prices in 2010 it reached IDR 5.27 trillion.

• The economy of Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency in 2023 will grow 4.66 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the Accommodation and Food and Drink Provision Sector experienced growth of 12.14 percent. Several other sectors that are growing positively are; Processing Industry grew 8.38 percent, Water Supply, Waste and Waste Processing grew 7.93 percent, Wholesale and Retail Trade; Car and Motorcycle Repairs grew 7.93 percent, and Information and Communication grew 6.77 percent.

• The economic structure of Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency according to business fields in 2023 is dominated by three main business fields, namely: Mining and Quarrying 39.37 percent, Wholesale and Retail Trade 16.71 percent and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries 15.35 percent.

• If we look at the sources of economic growth in Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency in 2023, the Mining and Quarrying Sector is the source of the highest growth, namely 1.46 percent, followed by the Wholesale and Retail Trade Sector at 0.93 percent, and the Construction Sector at 0.72 percent
